If you want to pay for cable for 1 day, it's $5.

If you want to pay for cable for a weekend, it's $10.

Timed for college football season.

This is awesome! The streamers are desperate at this point. So much content and people are tried of paying for it. Glad this is a thing and hope it stays at a reasonable cost.

Edit. Boo! This is only for sling orange. Not blue, and not the sports extra pack. So it will work for game 1, but not for our games on acc, accnx, or cbs sports. So only half of our first 6 games. Still, this is my plan for week one. Might just get Fubo tho which has $175 off and all local channels, for first 5 months.

My last few seasons of streaming:

Started with Sling Orange and Sports Xtra package for at least two seasons but forget exactly what season(s) that was. Had some awkward moments with it.

Then I went with FUBO in 2023 but felt it was a bit twitchy and the ego was validated by others who felt the same.

2024 got YouTube TV....most satisfied I have been. Heh, I thought I cancelled it after the bowl game but I failed to "execute" the cancel. Never noticed that I had been billed monthly until last month when I cancelled it. Chapped my ass that I could be that unaware.

2025 - equivocating over what to do this season which is in sight. Probably hand wring until the last minute before kickoff.

I didnt buy any of them as I normally do. Last year almost all of the games were luve streamed on YouTube. Pretty much any game you wanted to see was being streamed live. I think only one game was not. Hopefully it's the same this year

I'd see them on reg YouTube but since I had YTtv, I didn't need them. But, it's tempting to go with though the kicker is almost all the games. I can get momentarily irrational close to game time if I see I am shut out and say, f' it, I'll pay the $'s and if I cut it too close, I miss the first drive or more while I monkey with the sign up and payment.

ESPN is launching their DTC service this week. For $30/mo, you'll get ESPN/2, ESPNU, ESPNews, ESPN+, ACCN, ACCNX, SECN, and ABC sports. They're also throwing in a year of free Hulu and Disney+ w/ ads. The only Cal game that it won't have is SDSU on CBS Sports Network on Sat 9/20.

If you want to watch Big Ten games, the big ones will be on broadcast TV. FOX is also launching their DTC for $20/mo (or $10 w/ ESPN DTC). Includes Fox, FS1, FS2, BTN. There's a discounted bundle with ESPN DTC coming on 10/2.

Did the sling one day pass for the Irish game today sponsored by cunnilingus airways. It works great but sign up on desktop. App and mobile platforms for it are glitchy. Once signed up you can use on your smart tv or Roku/streaming device.

Been all over the map with different services down here in Long Beach. Spectrum has a sports package. Also tried the YouTube version. Now I am also going Sling day-of-the-game for $5. Will have to see how it works mobile. wise. For SDSU, we are heading down - too close to miss.
Bring back bottled beer and cigars at CMS. Should get us back in the Rose Bowl!

it works great on the app, it's just impossible to sign up for the day pass using the app, have to log in with a desktop browser to get the day option (at least that was my experience using my previous login). When using app initially, it just gives the option of a monthly subscription.
