OK, I know I'm nitpicking and I'm not trying to be That Guy . . . but why is kids in quotes? Were they not kids? Were they not yours? I mean I get that they're grown now but surely they were kids at the time? I'll be honest, I know you just mean that they were kids at the time and they're still your children but no longer kids. But the hypothetical and technical implications of those quotes are really sending the overly-analytical part of my brain on a trip. **** it, it's too early for me to be doing this to myself
