I relocated from Poulsbo (Seattle area) WA to Houston, TX. We decided to take a 90 mile trip to College Station and take a look the Texas A&M campus. It's huge, very clean. That football stadium is ginormous. The sports complex there is pretty impressive. College Station is right next to Bryan, but beyond that in either direction, there isn't much. Nice looking people. Sometimes I wish CAL could be something like A&M in athletics.

I went to College Station to visit a college friend after the Texas game in 2015. Was a dusty wasteland with basically no redeeming qualities.

Friend GTFO and is much happier now btw. And even more so, his wife is WAY happier.

Would be curious to see what is more of a cult town- College Station or State College.

Stopped by for a visit on the trip after the Mississippi game. It's an ag school. The middle of nowhere like Davis used to be, but texas has way bigger nowhere. Nice modern campus. Stadium is nuts by California standards, but nothing out of the ordinary for sec. George Bush museum and library was very well done, worth the trip by itself regardless of one's politics. Many days well over 100 degrees, but lots of new fangled air conditioning hideouts.
