Yo guys, I've never really bet on games before but I thought it'd be fun to bet a little bit of money on the Oregon Game and Win Total this year.

Does anyone have experience with betting platforms. I got a little lost with all of the pure betting platforms like Betonline, Betwhale, etc. And then I just started to also look at prediction markets like Kalshi.

Any recommendations?

I've been pretty happy with Betonline. Much better than the crappy Top Bet platform I was using before.

The OSU game feels a little like fools gold to me though.

I live in WA where online betting is illegal. A few years back they allowed Indian Casinos to open sportsbook though not all of them have. Since we have one about 20 mins away, I dipped my toes in the water primarily on Cal.

My inclination was, and still is to go the larger odds, payouts and risk via the money line. I recall one of my first was the ND game but I intended to select the points line, which was not that bad with a $100 wager but I accidentally chose Cal for the win. Did not realize it till halftime. That last gasp Plummer pass took a toll on my nerves. Since then I am more careful viewing and pressing buttons on those kiosk screens.

Sadly, last seasons Auburn game, I had an envelope ready in the car with similar amount for Cal for the win line. A week before I dove past the casino twice due to spacing out and each time I said to myself, I'll do it tomorrow. Didn't happen. Possibly my play it safe subconscious was whispering. Anyway, I got more conservative $'s on Cal beating OSU and on the over wins for the season....all pretty safe, IMO, bets with modest payouts.

Whiners. Why does the ncaa hate america?
"The NCAA said Thursday it was "deeply concerned" about the lack of guardrails for the online prediction markets that are challenging betting industry norms after financial company Robinhood began allowing trades on college football."

I put some on cal over 5.5 wins with DraftKings in MA, but it said "no MA schools" on the betting slip. In a panic I called and got in writing that the BC game would indeed count toward the total if the Bears won. Apparently can't bet on straight games in Massachusetts for local schools.
