The echo is fixed in top of EE but it's still too loud. 96 decibel average.

Would be nice if they could use it to make a fake cannon shot. I'm assuming fire safety is why we had no cannon today.

We had the canon.
Piped in crappy music was WAY too loud.

The music was good. Much better than prior years.
I would say the PA system is WAY too loud. It's exhausting. My ears still hurt, like I went to the range without ear pro. I wouldn't go back without that being changed.
It was annoying while there, but my ears actually hurt what, 2 or 3 hours later?
Nothing is gained from that volume. Voices are washed out, it makes cheering seem stupid to try (PA for voice should be 5-10db louder than peak crowd to cut through, but ALL PA was that loud ...)
It doesn't create atmosphere. It breaks it.

Ear plugs or radio.

Maybe it gets fixed for Minn. But good gawd
- 'DJ', uh, sucks. But maybe that's my generation; I don't need loud blaring hype at every opportunity
- mic chk before game was fine - but seemed to me sound level during the game was louder
- agree that PA volume should be higher than others
- what I could hear before my eardrums eventually blew out was clearer. Baby steps
- had a hard time hearing people nxt to and in front of me. Eventually we all gave up trying to talk
Now get off my turf

That was my experience, too!
I'm digging up these Sound System complaint threads because my sister's kid wouldn't even take his seat - "too loud, mommy!"
They had to watch upstairs, inside.
Cal has a major problem if they keep disenfranchising fans like this.

You would think they are doing it because they have "researched" what the fans want. It never ceases to amaze me. Do you really think that the piped in music somehow maintains or increases attendance? How about improving the product on the field. Do ya think that might help?

The "stands" behind the south endzone look gawd awful on TV. I don't seem to mind when we see it because we just scored a touchdown, but when we've just given up a TD, it's very upsetting.
