Idk SD State does not feel like Minnesota where they can go on a 15 play drive to score a TD. The defense has stopped them to fgs 2/3 on positive drives.

To be honest this is entirely on the offense. Embarrassing effort after the first drive.
The defense gave up yards but it was half on one fluke 80 yarder with the defender in good position. Other than that they gave up 6 pts. We should have 14-20 and it wouldn't be a problem.

Running the ball up the middle repeatedly when it's not working doesn't seem like good coaching to me. Similarly, not preparing the team to play the team in front of it doesn't seem like good coaching to me.

Cal didn't nap, they dominated the first quarter and failed to capitalize. Then got dominated in the 2nd.

They are terrible. So bad that Cal should be able to regroup and adjust and win this. But we don't really have coaches capable of that.

The DBs are either out of position or getting burned as they play to make the great play instead of the good play. The front seven can't stop the SDSU running game. This bodes ill for Cal being to pull out a victory. Especially as defense is supposed to be Wilsux's forte!

And the reality is, the talent on this roster (or lack of it) doesn't really match the hype. Having a good QB really can hide a lot of problems but this really isn't a special roster in any way.
It is a lot better than SDSU though, and a lot of the crappy teams we play this year if the team was prepared and coached well.
