JKS really did save our bacon, as I thought he might have to.

I don't think he minds, as long as the defense takes care of their business

2 or 3 False starts from the one. Hahaha

Idk, I think the recieving core deserve a lot of credit today, JKS did almost lose the game with his mistakes but he made the big plays when it needed

BC is more comically terrible than we are, it was hilarious watching that last sequence

That's the most negabear thing I've read all year.

A win is nice, but Wilsux remains the HC. With a competent coach, Cal would've blown out BC. That Cal barely squeaked by is not really worth celebrating.

A conference road win coming back from 14-0.

I'll celebrate!

GO BEARS!!!!

no obvious drops by the receivers today!

Also did a great job of selling DPI and adjusting to JKS short throws

That's fair. Under Wilsux, Cal's hasn't had a great conference record. A conference win is worth celebrating.

I'm not sure if any anyone else will agree, but I think our offensive line needs work on short yardage downs. Failing to make more than 1 yard when you need a foot is pretty disappointing. We should be getting 3 yards on every carry regardless of what the down and distance is.

When we're 2 yards out from the goal line, it should be automatic

Someone got to teach JKS how to gain an extra 5 inches on the scrambles and QB sneaks

You have to go on a quick count or change your cadence. The offensive line knows when to go. The defense reacts. It should be a win every single time.

The battle is won in the trenches. The offensive line should be blowing out the defensive line.

1) That was an exhausting win
2) We need to spend a lot of time practicing "..and1" plays
3) Lesson in post-interception discipline
4) We saw some nice run game today and I'd like to see more.
5) Possibly a season saver. A loss to BC on the heels of the Aztec beat down had real death spiral potential.

I think "..and 1" plays will be a big topic in practice.

Look, as a realistic football fan, I understand it won't happen every time. But our biggest OL in our history has gotten bullied 4 games out of 5. That's the bigger concern to me. Do we have no one who might not be the best pass blocker or is undersized but just plays like a bulldozer?

I think anyone who has watched this OL all season would agree.

Yes though also I'd like to see more creativity on those plays. Too often it's the RB up the middle. The defense should be guessing more.

Yeah, while trick plays can never be the foundation of an offense, I had heard that Harsin has a number of them up his sleeve. I guess he's saving them for the Dukies or something, because I haven't seen any all year, to speak of.

They played OK. I believe the only players to make catches were Grizzell, Mini, De Jesus and King. I don't believe any RB made a catch. I do not remember even seeing #15 Hamper out on the field. I could be wrong. I wonder if he got demoted down the depth chart after last week's drops.

Hamper is hurt and we presumably available only if needed.
