This is a poorly coached, undisciplined team. Talent is clearly an issue at many positions, but the coaching is also really bad.
I am lost for words for this coaching staff..... year after year.... doesn't matter who the OC or DC is, Wilcox is not it....

If Lyons and Rivera really want to elevate our football program, Wilcox will be fired by Monday. Otherwise, they're both full of shyte.
The ultimate dumb and dumber contest. It seems that in the modern era of college football the fate of Cal fans is to watch our team slug it out with other weak, poorly coached teams. We could have stayed in the remnants of the Pac12 conference to play in close matches with other bad teams.

I wouldn't be shocked if we hired a new coach and this kind of stuff didn't happen anymore, even if we were relatively inexperienced or untalented. That's what happened when Tedford came in.

The coaching staff is responsible for the lack of "talent at many positions." Wilcox has been our worst recruiter, maybe ever. Then he hired Harsin and he fired our two best recruiters losing the RB and WR talent we did have. Definitely worse recruiting than Dykes much less Holmoe, Gilby, Kapp, Theder….
