I wouldn't be surprised if Ron refused entry to fans to show how serious he is about needing to have better fans.

No, never give that to any player.

First because they don't have the experience to make that decision.

Second because it creates a bad team dynamic.

Third because they aren't bound by the decision. If it fails he can just walk.

Seriously, given the state of the program and the sport, the next hire Cal makes at HC is absolutely critical. Could end up saving the program or putting in the final nail. No way any 19 year old kid should be making that decision. Ron is pointless if he is not leading this process.

Impress JKS with a competent hire and regardless of what happens with coaching, impress him with some decent WRs and OLs.

We could do all that and he still could walk, and also if we have him involved with the coaching search that will entice candidates and give JKS some accountability and ownership he would not get elsewhere, if we want to even have a chance at keeping him, he will be absolutely need to be involved in the coaching search, unless we get other guarantees from him

JKS is gone. The next hire has to be the right person to save the program from collapse. It may already be too late, but we have no shot unless we hire someone who can fix this mess.

While we were by far the worst 5-2 team in the country, it's also likely that we are still the worst 5-3 team in the country
