There must have been an internal reckoning over the bye week with JKS saying he is committed to staying because that can only mean the rest of the roster will be cleaned out because everybody but JKS looked checked out tonight

You can't fire a coach after a bowl game, who are you going to get at that point? And there's no runway for whoever is hired to do anything in the portal.
