We are likely going 2-10 or maybe we get a win against furd. But 3-9 is our ceiling. Lock on ACC said trap game for v tech and we'd pull out a win..:not likely. Our defense going be on the field a lot. I see some explosive plays coming soon and in 2nd half, often. End score: v tech 38-14

I'm ok with taking a cautious approach early in the game and leaning on the defense a bit, I'm just not a fan of the 3rd down play calls because they have zero chance of getting a first down even if blocked completely correct.

Defense can only hold so long with all of these 3 and outs by offense.

But I think our D will only get better... later in the season.

2020, 2021 and 2022 (Musgrave years) were all really bad. 2022 we were 4-8 (2-7) . Crazy that Wilcox got that big extension in the middle of it and Bearinsider celebrated it.

We have some interesting concepts but nothing that goes past 15 yards

poorly coached. He needs to cut right off the blocks tail and explode upfield. He drifts too far away from the block and he comes up short instead of getting it by 2 yards

This is literally the worst 3rd down play calling I've ever seen at Cal, I'd rather see direct dives into the Nose Tackle than whatever this is.

you're forgetting how bad last year was. 34-0 at sdsu and stanford were unforgivable.

i'm not saying this year is good, but we have recently been really, really, really bad.

i do not miss wilcox. i do not like our team so far this year either.
