Nonexistent to most SoCalers. 17 years in SoCal I never heard a derogatory thing about Northern California. Mostly it was stuff like "its beautiful". First day at CAL I got sh!t for being from LA.

Same thing happens between Boston and NYC.

BTW, I generally prefer Northern California lifestyle and people.

At Cal, I never got a hard time from anyone for being from socal and most my friends were from the Bay area. I too prefer the bay area lifestyle and actually aimed to settle there, but fate landed me back in socal. The only hostility I've really seen is from this board. It's a curious phenomena. Tribal tendencies are probably more likely in enthusiastic fans.

Truth be told, that is also mostly what I've heard from L.A. folks about the Bay Area.

Actually, I hate the Celtics, Niners, and Giants. Warriors are too inept to care enough about to hate. Love the Lakers and A's(except their evil owner).

By the way, how much did all those instant replays of out-of-bounds calls suck? This is one sport where they really need to minimize it, because all of the stoppages ruin the flow completely.

It only sucked in game 2 when they missed the call on Garnett. (and I say this as a Lakers hater.) Tonight there were an inordinate number of out-of-bounds calls in the last two minutes. The replay rule is good, and won't normally be so present.

Easy - love the LAkers, so ....the Yanquis! Actually am a huge Angels fan also, so get to root against the Yankees all season long, although I wouldn't say that I hate them. They have the money to outspend the rest of the league and it is within the rules so more power to them. Angels used to be, and probably still are, the only team with a head-to-head winning record against them over the last maybe 10 years.

I hate the Yankees more. I hate that stupid song they play after they win something big. I hate that they buy their titles because they have all that TV money and there is no salary cap in baseball.

I got no problem with the Lakers other than they embarass the Warriors every year. If we can land Ellison, that's going to change.
