Why is it so important for Desean Jackson to mention Cal. He is the prime example of how the entrance requirements are lifted for football players. This guy cannot formulate a complete sentence let alone have any grasp of the english language. I dought he spent any real time on campus, but yet, everbody is concerned about DJ representing Cal. I think Aaron Rogers is all you need. He sounds inteligent, can formulate a sentence, and should be an example how a real Cal Student Athlete should carry himself . After the Orange Bowl, did you see any player from Stanford struggle with post game interviews or speak ebonics.

Yeah, right. He had a 1280 SAT. (Gee, what was yours? Don't mean to challenge you or attack a fellow poster but I can't avoid your misspellings: "doubt" not "dought"; "everybody" not "everbody"; "intelligent" not "inteligent." Also, languages are proper nouns and should begin with capital letters: "English" and "Ebonics." One would "hear" not "see" players struggling with language in a post-game interview.)

I'm sure Desean spent time on campus; had he not attended classes during his three years at Cal, I do not think he could have maintained the GPA necessary to remain eligible.

Man that guy hates Cal!
Okay, Rodgers and Jackson didn't actually attend Cal at the same time, but the way he said it made it seem like there's a fraternity of Cal alumni in the NFL (as if he was saying, "we're both Cal Bears so I have some allegiance to him.") A bit surprising that he was hyping up Rodgers more than hyping up the Steelers since he grew up a Steelers fan.

Baseballbacker should watch the posted interview ... an interview in a fast-paced, informal entertainment show in front of rolling cameras and a live, expressive audience.

LOLWUT? You expect us to read this? Dude re-write it in more readable message-board speech. The Op in particular would really appreciate it. Thanks!Nasal Mucus Goldenbear;468240 said:
Baseballbacker should watch the posted interview. Mr. Desean Jackson was fluent and personable. He formulated and executed complete sentences admirably well. It is quite odd to expect him to communicate with the scholarly erudition of a university English professor given the circumstances--an interview in a fast-paced, informal entertainment show in front of rolling cameras and a live, expressive audience.

Just so everyone knows, this is the closet Stanford fan who has backed Esquer to no end. My guess is he's either a family member or one of his former Stanford teammates.
I'm not even going to dignify your "ebonics" comment with a response.
