was it a Taurus or a Prius? the ridicule difference could be huge.

My girlfriends dad, (a Cal alum), bought a dark red insight, then tried to tell me its actually scarlet. :rollinglaugh:

I've got a blue Prius with a large CAL script logo in the rear window.

The wife and I bought a Prius this spring. Color choices were limited, as the supply chain was more than a little disrupted by the recent earthquake/tsunami/nuclear issues in Japan. But I held firm and insisted we not get a red one. And for once that worked.

2006 Prius adorned with CAL license plate.

It seems to me that BigAl says something similar about his RED Chevrolet avatar. So far, the only fces I recall him receiving on the matter came from me.

I mostly ride my bike, however it too is blue and gold. Seriously, it is sick. A single gear, painted blue and gold. The "yellow" tires really make me POP. I'll send a pick if I can get slobjob's camera phone to work.

I have a red Prius. It was all they had in stock at the time. Being in Minnesota the effect is lessened as people here don't know Cal from USC. I do have Cal stickers and license brackets, so hopefully that evens it out.

I'd be embarrassed to have a Bush/Cheney sticker on my car if I was a republican. Hopefully most, if not all, have been quietly removed!

i find that most republicans abstain from bumper stickers touting their party affiliation, political views, or voting history. unlike democrats, republicans don't feel the need to advertise our political agenda to innocent drivers that have no interest in it.

Silver prius here with a CAL license plate holder. I had to wait two months to het it because I rejected the red one. Worth the wait, IMO.

Black Hybrid Lexus and Silver SUV Lexus (my wife loves Lexus which is just an upscale Toyota isn't it??)

I won't even rent a car if it is red in color (the color red is mostly not allowed and avoided with anything with me) ....

As a american with chinese ethnicity, the color red has cultural significance, but my bride/wife didn't even wear a red chinese wedding banquet dress/outfit when we got married (she still looked hot in a hot pink one) and my son doesn't wear red either

Prius drivers suck. Present company excluded of course. Unless your Prius is red, then you suck.

I drive a 10-year old WRX and get 21 mpg and delicious four-wheel drifts on wet roads. The greenest car is the one you don't buy (uh, something like that).

I don't know, there are plenty of ways to ridicule both.

Earlier this year bought a 2008 with 22,000 miles on it for $13,900. I love it so far although my criteria for a good car is how to get from point A to point B as cheap as possible taking into consideration acquisition cost, maintenance costs, fuel costs and then resale value when the car gets 250,000 miles on it. The guy who bought a Red Prius had to have obtained a great purchase price to be riding around in Stanfurd red. GO BEARS!!
