Okay, we're done here.

Correct -- We've sniffed out the troll and can now use our Ignore buttons until mods take appropriate action.

I wonder what rock this one crawled out from under.

Hmmmmmmm.....

If I'm correct isn't the blue hose annually kicked around by ACC and SEC teams?

...anyway its dumb people are giving CAL **** for scheduling the blue hose considering our situation...no one wanted to play these guys

Found it interesting and amusing that as Starkey reported on the air, one SEC team (Clemson?) has played the Blue Hose 40 times.

So I guess Clemson should be 40 times MORE embarassed than Cal.

Geez people .... Is this thread still going????

As far as weak competition games, the SEC makes it a habit so as long as you don't schedule a bunch in one year (Texas Tech, ASU, entire SEC conference, and others), I really wouldn't make a federal case out of it

TMQ piles on:

Even so, for Cal to schedule Presbyterian, a Division I-AA program that last season went 2-9 with losses to Stony Brook and North Greenville, seems beyond the pale. According to Yahoo! Sports, Presbyterian was paid $400,000 to agree to fly to San Francisco and be used as tackling dummies. Though Cal has been plagued by classroom budget cuts and tuition hikes, $400,000 was available to stage a football game.

LOL. No, calgldnbear, this is ANOTHER thread asking the same question....then again its from a 15 post count guy, so it could just be troll/plant material

But seriously, if someone had just clicked a few mouse buttons they would have seen that the same week we were slumming it with Presby, 3 other FCS teams from Presby's division were also playing FBS teams, including Coastal Carolina getting waxed 59-0 in a body bag game against Georgia. Good enough opponent to face the SEC? Must be good enough to play Cal!

I was just reading the comments section after the Chron articles, and we're getting lot's of sh!t for scheduling Pres. Can someone remind me why they were scheduled again...wasn't there a last minute cancellation or something?

Does anyone commenting realize that Clemson has played Pres not once, not ten times but 40 times.
