Hm, I wonder if he can now transfer and apply for a medical hardship year. If so this might be his chance, otherwise he was just going to burn the year riding the pine anyway.

+1. He's done at Texas. From first string to third string in one move. He';; have to transfer somewhere (other than Cal) if he wants to play. McCoy has the starting QB job locked up, IMO.

He most likely lost the starting job because of his shoulder injury incurred in their opening game. He can return next season and compete for the starting job especially if the UT fans are disenchanted with McCoy. Don't forget that McCoy has looked good so far only against BYU (slaughtered by Utah in next game) and perennial doormat fUCLA.

Well that explains his poor performance so far this year.

There were all sorts of negative posts on this guy in the longhorn boards and many are happy that he isn't starting.

How's the QB situation on our front? Is Bridgford working out for us?
