Vegas has the Bears as a point and a half underdog on the road. Interestingly, Sagarin would make us 5 point favorites.

Personally I think it's a close game early, but the Bears win going away by more than a TD.

Does the spread surprise anyone?

I thought it was a toss up at 3, with UW getting points for home field.

Maybe it opened at 3 and the line moved bc Price isn't 100%.

What surprises me is this spread moved from 3.5 to 1.5 by Tuesday. That's a lot of movement early in the week.

Keep in mind the spread is all about getting equal money on both sides. But Vegas isn't telling us who they think will win, just who they think will bet money. (Thus the "ridiculously high" SC spreads.)

At this point in the season (still early), the Sagarin numbers really doesn't mean a whole lot.

In reality, we still haven't proven much on the field. Yes, we are 3-0, but we have looked pretty sloppy at times. Given home field, I think UW -1.5 is a pretty fair line. Even at UW -2 or -3, I think those would also be a fair number. We all know how tough it is to win conference games on the road.

Similarly, USC is a 2.5 point underdog at ASU, and UCLA is a 3 point dog at Oregon State. Should be an interesting weekend in the P12 to see who's for real, and who's not......

It seems like a toss up at this point given a lack of consistency on both sides.

If our defense (particularly our secondary) shows up, I think we win by a solid 1 or 2 TDs. If we let them pass like Colorado did, then I expect a total dog fight.

I expect our offense to show the same kind of composure in enemy territory.

If Price doesn't play (or is severely handicapped), then I think UW loses their edge for a W against us. Personally, I don't trust the news and would expect him to be fully mobile by Sat.
