Possible tailgating option at AT&T

While out at lunch today, I noticed a sign on the parking garage at 75 Howard St. saying the roof deck is available for tailgating -- inquire within. I ducked my head in the garage to see if I could get any additional info, but didn't see anyone to ask.

This garage is a 5 or 6 story parking garage. The roof deck would have beautiful, unobstructed views of the Bay Bridge, Yerba Buena and Treasure Islands and the Bay. It's on Howard at Steuart, right on the Embarcadero. It might be worth checking out if you're looking for a good tailgate spot but don't have a permit for one of the AT&T lots.

Did you check the cost? And the hours? That's one of the problems with that particular garage.

Check out the lot at Embarcadero @ Harrison. About opposite Pier 30. Many baseball fans tailgate there. Open for all games. Cost is average for the area.

Good luck. Saw the same thing about 2 months ago. Found the number for the garage and called. They said that their management company is in charge of that. It took me a solid hour to get the name/number of the person who actually is in charge, and never got a call back (I left a voicemail once a week for two or three weeks).

It's open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays, so it should work for the SC game unless you really want to stay a long time after the game.

On weekends it's open 7 until 6, so it would work for a 12:30 kickoff and might work for a later kickoff if they extend the hours when there are games. (I have no idea if it does.)

The cost is $29 during the week...don't know what the weekend rate is.

Thx., GMP. That's too bad. Oh well...all the more reason to BART in for the games and hit the bars instead!
