game isnt going to end 20 to 21, you wait til later in the game to make the gamble for a two point conversation. you have an entire second half. if you miss it here, then you need to score another FG. If you wait til later, you can play the 2pt conversation option later. You might now have another opportunity to score a FG.
Tavecchio can't kick it deep into the end zone, but why cant he kick the ball at least straight?

Yes he could but obviously (as it turned out) didn't need to do so. He could also have caught it (came close) and run for a score.
With as poor as our defense played in the first 24 minutes... to be only down 1 and we even could have been leading since we kicked 2 short FGs. I am beyond ready to see the future OLBs though. Whiteside and McCain make plays that the starters don't. They might make mistakes, but is it worse than the two current starters just not making the correct plays even though that is the reason they are supposedly starting?
