Bye with the final score 20-10. Cal found itself short handed since the coach let so many players go home on Frid and Sat. Cal found itself playing a lot of the 3rd, 4th and 5th string players and they just weren't ready.
One offensive lineman was heard to say that blocking against the Bye defense was like hitting a wall. Guess thats what happens when they are actually hitting a sideline concrete wall near the north tunnel. Those walls are really solid. JT commented that the players never gave up, but that Bye was just a better team today. He's also concerned that Cal now has a short week to prepare for Oregon.
