Ok so now after playing Nebraska, Utah and Cal

The jury is in so far. Cal's front seven 7 is the best we've played all year. Look at how Wisconsin beat Nebby like they stole something.

If figured Utah's defense would be tough but they aren't special at Linebacker and with good backers your run defense is going to struggle and Polk exploits that. 189 yards against the Utes...that's got nuttin to do with turnovers. That's in your face smashmouth. Polk had what 70 yards against Cal?

Cal really looks like a Dark Horse this year because your Defense is stout and it really comes down to can Maynard feed the ball to your bookend WR and keep Siofele gaining yards.

Please please please beat the Dukks. Watch the LSU game. Granted LSU has one of their best defenses in years they basically told Oregon in the first series to F'off and played really physical. Oregon can't handle physical line play. Stack the box and stuff James and Barner. Darron Thomas isn't that great of a QB unless he's running play action or some other trick play. He can't win the game unless LaMichael is a factor.

I'm feeling really lucky to get the win against you guys early. You guys killed it last year in defensive recruits so it may be a while before we get the "W" against you again.

I will take off my purple tinted glasses and say that this is probably the best or at least deepest UW offense since Tui took the team to the Rose Bowl. Against Utah we looked like total shat in the first half but once we got going the point went up.

I'm a bit worried about playing Arizona which has historically been a shoot out but I think we'll play better defense in the game and win at home.

best of luck on the rest of your season and I'll be in Cals corner. Beat the Yucks and USC. We'll try to do our part as well.

Thanks for the kind words. It's sad that opposing fans are often far more complimentary of our players than a number of our own fans. You'd think from this Board that we were 1-3 at the moment. Anyway, watched the WA/UT game and was taken by several things. One, Polk is totally a legit star. Hope he goes to the NFL next year and gets out of our conference. I don't want to see him suited up against us again. Yeah, I know we held him last week, but the guy has great balance, speed and strength. Don't think we could count on shutting him down every time. Second, Washington generally looked huge compared to Utah on both lines. Don't think this bodes well for Utah for the remainder of the season. Third, this entire game could have looked so different if Utah didn't keep imploding in the red zone. Two turnovers on the Washington 5 in the first half? Fumbling the opening kick-off and gifting Washington an early TD? 3 plays the other way and Utah could (and should) have had a 21 point lead at halftime. Washington looked infinitely better in the 2nd half than the first, but I think that's because Price had the breathing room to make the plays he needed. If he'd been playing from far behind in the 2nd, things could have gotten ugly. Last, once Utah lost their starting quarterback this game was over. Back-up threw a pick on his first pass and his 2nd pass was so far off it wasn't clear who he was throwing to. Things didn't get better from there. All in all a good win for Washington - it's not great for us to have our Pac 12 North brethren win against the Pac 12 South, but I have a soft spot for the Huskies. Think their fans are generally a class act and I respect the tradition and passion they have up there. Here's hoping we can replicate the Huskies results against the Utes.

If Wynn is not healthy the Utes are toast.... He looked great in the first half save that red zone pick. That fumble killed them indeed. If we can hold LMJ like Polk (save that pass) we will hang in there against those fowl cheaters.
