I'm surprised he lasted this long...pancreatic cancer is usually the most aggressive.....he will be missed.

The five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is in the single digits, metastatic probably even less. Not surprising, but really sad.

Let's not forget that Steve Jobs used to protest on the UC Berkeley campus and used to visit his pal Steve Wozniak at the Cal dorms.

Too bad he became more associated with that bad school across the bay.

it's not about idolatry. it's about recognizing someone who's had a profound impact on the world and technology. you don't have to care about him or apple products to realize that.

I have a pretty good comprehension of Jobs and Apple, Inc. They have been sued many times.

This do no harm mantra is marketing junk.

Jobs was a capitalist, and the only good thing he gave me was a good internet telephone.

wow. so a company's value to society can be measured by how many times it's been sued?

apple has been at the center of many lawsuits. they've also initiated many lawsuits themselves. many are patent infringement cases. the fact that Apple has patented so many designs/tech/etc. has irked many companies. and yet, it's exactly due to the patents that give rise to competition. Android and other OS/platforms have to think outside of the box in order to give consumers newer and better products. Apple has only helped in that regard.

why are you bitter that Jobs was a successful capitalist? b/c he was filthy rich and you are not?
