It's a brutal injury, but that was a fumble. The two facts can co-exist.

The dude locks on the primary and never comes off - EVER.

HOW can we not get a legitimate QB in this program? I'm definitely running out of patience. You CAN'T convince me that Maynard is the best pocket passer we have. If we aren't going to roll out Maynard on virtually every play, then WHY is he our starter?

A fumble. Yes. Let's see what the refs do. They have not been calling any holding call on these Oregon OLs.
But the way his arm was bent looked really bad.

I think it was not a fumble because the play had to be called dead as soon as his helmet came off.

Too bad about LJ ... with respect to the play, very odd that it was blown dead after the fumble. If we're gonna pull off the unlikely comeback, it's gonna have to be on big plays like that. Not fair for the refs to deprive us of the opportunity.

And they score again. Bottom line....being down a point at half lit a fire under Oregon, and they came out and smoked our asses like the better team is supposed to.

They kept showing some blonde chick when LMJ was being attended to. Girlfriend?

Once again we fail in the half time adjustments. I don't know what needs to happen and I wish there was a simple solution, but I don't see it. Let's hope we get it fixed by next Thursday. I'd gladly take this beating if it means winning next Thursday.

Like I have a choice...

The halftime "adjustments" are not that complicated. We loaded the box in the first half and dared them to pass. In the first half they failed. In the second half they made the throws/catches. Simple.

As an American, I dont think that how the other guy does something should be the litmus test for how we conduct ourselves. I have put that opinion into action with my life as collateral.


I think it is OK to booo simple in-n-out injuries, like stubbed toe, against Oregon as a joke, but for a serious injury? Leave the BS to Oregon.

I hear ya, but conventional wisdom says USC beats us like a rented mule next week.

Step 1 for USC: pop in tape of tonight's game. Step 2: take notes.

We never pressured them in the second half like we did in the first.

We went back to playing on our heals, and giving them easy yards.


In the 2nd quarter we were getting into the backfield... has not happened much in the 2nd half

Sigh, I agree, except I have this character issue where I'm a Cal fan and as it gets closer to game time I believe more and more. The Barkley to Woods combo scares the hell out of me. Wonder if KA21 could cover him.
