I am a current Cal athlete, NCAA champion at that, who is embarrassed by our football team. They are virtually non-athletes in my book, who drink and smoke heavily, train minimally, display little to no focus, determination, guts, or anything else a real athlete does. Sorry, I would send ZM home to glaze some honeybakeds if I was in charge.

I am literally telling you that the level of expectation(in terms of time given, dedication, focus, character) is faar lower for football players at Cal than for rugby, crew, swimming, and water polo. Perhaps the footballers should take a cue about how to approach athletics from successful teams?
