Whatever you think about the man, today is his birthday. His 50th Birthday.

I'd like to start by publicly stating that I'm thankful that he's raised the bar for achievement on and off the field for Cal football.

He's also given Cal donors with little or lots to give reason to do just that and fund the SAHPC and the renovation of California Memorial Stadium.

Now I know not many of us are happy, or are questioning JT's decisions, but how would it look like if we break in a "Happy B-day" chant at the game? Would it put any fire in his belly with emotions and then he'll lead us to perfection the rest of the season? Am I just dreaming?

In the past few weeks, I have spoken with several parents of current players. They do sometimes read these boards and they don't generally like what they read. The parents dont think that posters have a clue about football or what D1 football players face. Several fathers said they cannot regularly read the boards because the posts make the fathers angry.
