It's still undisputed what To$h said to Shaq; that To$h is trying to recruit Cal targets, a practice that is unethical; that To$h didn't even tell his own players; and that he wasn't man enough to tell JT to his face that he was leaving.<br /><br />To$h is scum.

If it were true, why would JT be bringing Tosh to AA and Shaq's house the very night before Tosh bolts?<br /><br />And why would Shaq be tweeting that Tosh was telling him that night that he was still mulling the UW offer?<br /><br />Why would Tosh clean out his desk in the middle of the night? And how could JT board a plane the next morning not knowing?<br /><br />Something about Tosh's story stinks.

After reading all the comments and accounts of what happened, and initially wanting to salt the UW campus, I think I'm over it. My view is we need to focus on LOI day with the best class we can get, hire the best assistants out there and take a hard look at the compensation of our assistants relative to competing schools. If I have a complaint, it's that the AD didn't react fast enough to recognize the risk of losing key people and do something about it (at least that appears to be the case).

I haven't been able to follow all the details that closely, but I thought there were only a few days between hearing that Tosh Spice turned down the first UW offer and his acceptance of their second offer. As has been said already, the timetable for this line of reasoning seems to be different from everything we've heard so far.

I think we will know who is to blame when Tedford goes all Hairball on To$h on November 2nd. I am hoping for a blow off no handshake myself. Get the video cameras rolling. It may be the one game in 10 years were, if we have a commanding lead, Tedford piles it on.

I don't buy that story at all.<br /><br />Original story (confirmed by multiple posters with insider connections to the Cal FB program) we've been hearing fits much better with the way <b>To$hit </b> ran away to Seattle without even telling the players he recruited.

So Tosh didn't want to wait for Tedford for 10 days after Tedford basically gave him his career? And, as a result, Tosh gets so angry that he takes it out on his players too by not even texting them that he's leaving (at least Todd Graham TEXTED his players he was leaving).<br /><br />I don't buy it for a second.

Each time Cal matched them up to $300K+. The final offer to Tosh was made upon the contingency that no further bidding by UW would be accepted. To avoid a bidding war. Tosh agreed. JT felt good. Tosh then continued to negotiate with Udub and got an astronomical deal Cal would not top.

The whole story is BS .. To$h can't be trusted to tell the truth about anything ... ever. No matter what we think of Tedford, he has a lot of friends in the coaching circle, including in the Pac-12. These people have known Tedford for a long time and have seen him conduct himself respectfully of other coaches. There is no way in hell they are going to take the word of Lupoi and his X-Box over the dean of Pac-12 coaches.

Justification for poaching Cal commits is they are "his". Feels ownership of "his" recruits. Bro Wilcox is not mentioned once even though he is a key piece of this. What a soap opera...
