Every morning this week I wake up and check these forums and hope for some good news. I'll keep doing it, but one of these days someone better deliver some good news!<br /><br />This sucks about Treggs and what he's saying about Shaq corroborates the little I've read from him. Hopefully as our staff becomes more clear and we get closer to decision time they make it back full circle. If not, then we continue to support the ones who want to be Bears and get started on new relationships.

The class seems to be slipping away, one by one - Is JT a closer, doesn't seem like it at this juncture - he needs to conjure up one hell of a sermon to keep these guys in the fold

The stuff on this board is probably not helpful. We are acting the sky is falling, so the recruits start to feel that way as well.

In retrospect we shouldn't have put so much recruiting hope on one person, but had Tosh not left we'd be criticizing Tedford for not using him enough if we indeed were not sending out our best recruiter as frequently as we could've been.

I guess this is kind of what I was saying yesterday regarding the recruits potentially looking elsewhere and the program looking badly because of it.<br /><br />It is certainly true that perhaps one coach should not bear the entire responsibility, but then again, that's how you build one-to-one relationships with recruits. <br /><br />It seems that with Tosh gone, some recruits may seek to go elsewhere, despite the program, Tedford and the new stadium. Certainly a black eye.
