No one can do it on their own. Previous generations subsidized you and me. Now, we say to the young: "Screw you! You're on your own." Don't be surprised when at some point in the future these generations gut programs for seniors, saying: "Screw you! You're on your own." It will be no more than we deserve...
The young generation is also getting royally screwed on Social Security as well. It's going be completely dry by 2036 they estimate now.
Currently with an 18% youth unemployment and lowest labor force participation ever recorded (59%), it's not like many will be paying into the system anyways. :facepalm
