they also signed 2 5* at OT and 9 4* players... which is why I would take their class in 12 over ours.

In that spirit, I would take a wealthier alumnus over you.

Ambrose is getting who he wants.

that is laughable... We landed dozier but whiffed on Seymour, adams and Hof. Redfield is going to O or SUC. If we don't get Byrd, Fuller, Johnson and/or More than that will be a huge disappointment. His recruiting so far is second rate versus the LA schools.

we'll be extremely fortunate to get one or two of those guys. Fuller is a pipe dream. Never gonna happen. Most likely are Johnson and Moore.

prepare to be disappointed i guess.

What would April be without a "sky is falling" recruiting post by 71bear and others.

I agree. We have the facilities, education, weather, nfl pipeline. NO reason we shouldn't be going toe to toe with a SANCTIONED $C!!!!

Personally I'm a little shocked. Trey looks like a fine player. Its the fact we are competing with central florida and western kentucky for recruits.

I have this really bad feeling that the coaches can't really recruit w/out to$h. It seems like all the 5 star or high 4 star recruits we were after were being recruited by the snake.

We were able to get some good recruits before Tosh, so there's no reason we shouldn't be able to do so now that he's a "committed" Husky.

It's hard to get excited about getting commitments from guys who had offers from Ky, UCF, UConn or WF. I hope the days of challenging SC, UCLA, UO and UDub for recruits aren't over.....

I think this would be a little more worrisome if it were late in the recruiting cycle. It's way to early to settle for second tier recruits, and if the strategy is not to waste our efforts on four and five star guys (a ridiculous strategy considering that we had a decent amount of success in this area even before Tosh), we could certainly get our fill without having to venture outside the state. So I think it's much more likely that our coaches see these kids as sleepers.

Just because they are low rated now doesn't mean they will stay that way!!!

We haven't offered to many lower tier guys, only the ones that we think are worth it. Watch their stars shoot up after they play their senior year and all u guys will put your tail between your legs and never post here again.

I think it's certainly possible that their ratings will improve; in the case of Trey Cheek (trs chic?), it's a virtual certainty, since he currently has no rating. Nevertheless, I think this is a case where the coaches think these kids can play, and don't care how anybody else views them.

Trevellous Cheek wins the internet for best name in college football. Now all he needs is a Rose Bowl trophy

No sky is falling from me (it's S71 who is the official recruiting worrier). I generally don't really start paying attention until January. However, in this case, I think that offering a couple mid-level southerners is a waste of scholies....

Especially if you use the French version which I can't remember, but it goes something like Tres' Cheek.
