That was a great read. I have to admit I had not considered the impacts this could have to other professional women in this space. The story is spot on! Excellent work and great perspective!

Nice job. I'm sure 99.9999999% of men who heard about the Arkansas scandal never even thought of it from this perspective.

Perhaps Cal fans are even less likely to have thought of this perspective since our AD is female. While not a football-specific position, Sandy is the one credited or blamed for the direction of the football program.

Very interesting read and cool to see it on SI. It's gotta be tough(er) for women to be taken professionally when incidents like the Petrino one happen. In general, mixing business with pleasure is a bad idea. Seen it time and time again.

So just to give you an idea about how crazy this got, I talked to SI this morning and 175,000 individual people clicked on the story, 1000 people liked the story on Facebook, 500 people tweeted it, 40 people shared it on LinkedIn, 30 posted on google+. 85% of the comments were positive. I also turned down an interview with CNN this morning. The SI mag article drops Thursday and George Dorhmann thinks it will be less incendiary than the op Ed

The only reason it came up is because that's where I got my grad degree (and started at Stanford). I'm not a huskie. It's grad school.
