Did anyone else go to the Kimbra/Foster The People concert at the Greek Theatre last night? Foster the People put on an amazing show and during their last song before the encore, they brought out the entire Cal band to join them during "Helena Beat". The crowd went absolutely nuts. I hope others got to experience what I experienced last night. Great show and an unexpected treat from the Cal band!

The Beatles first hit America in 1964 with a 28-minute album.

This has to go down as the most asinine post of the year. Comparing a one hit wonder to the greatest band of all-time. Just wow.

I was just pointing out that album length doesn't matter when it comes to touring, not comparing the quality of Foster the People (whose music, frankly, I've never actually heard) to the Beatles.

All bands are expected to tour.

Good point, but those in attendance at the concerts couldn't hear even 1 minute of music!

But what a great 28 minutes (still fresh sounding) and who could have guessed how much better they would become. (Until George died, I always held out hope for a reunion. Well, there is still a Rose Bowl in my dreams.)

Calling Foster the People a one hit wonder is harsh. Several of their songs have gotten radio play, and their whole album is excellent. Let's see if they can keep it up, but step one was as A+.
