The Pac-12 LA channel will show identical programming to the national channel the vast majority of the time. The only exception is when there are conflicting live events, in which case priority will be given to the LA teams if they are involved.
Cal/Nevada and OSU/NichollsState, Which game would be shown on PAC12 LA? The PAC12 Network schedule just shows both as PAC12 Network, it should really list one as regional and the other as network.
It looks like I won't see the Sept 22nd USC/Cal game since the UCLA game is the same day and would be shown probably only on the LA region, while the Cal/SC game is shown on the PAC12 network. Looking at the PAC12 schedule, which shows many starts at 3AM, I assume to allow for schedule changes, the following Cal games could possibly not be seen in LA because an LA team might play at the same time. Sept 29th ASU (UCLA), Oct 13th WSU (USC/UCLA), Oct 20th Stanford (USC). Oct 27th (USC/UCLA), Nov 10th Oregon (USC), Nov 17th OSU (USC/UCLA).
Hopefully some of these conflicts can be resolved by ESPN/ABC and Fox broadcasting possibly competing games, but if the CAL/USC game doesn't merit ESPN/ABC/FOX broadcasting on Sept 22nd then UCLA/Oregon State won't be on the top tiers either. I assume there can be three Saturday PAC12 game slots, 1230pm, 4pm, and 730pm for the four to six PAC12 Saturday games each week. Do ESPN/ABC/Fox have to take three games each Saturday? If not I can see missing some key Cal games, starting with SC.
The PAC12 may have painted itself into a corner and it will take some creative scheduling/rescheduling to take that flying leap that straightens things out. The schedule is soft after Sept 15th ( no valid game times), when the Sept 22nd games are given starting times we will have an idea of how the PAC12 will resolve these schedule conflicts. Hopefully the PAC 12 schedule can be updated to show PAC12 network games and also PAC12 regional broadcasts. That simple change would help...
