I have DirecTV, last year I ordered the sports package and saw tons of games on the CSN/ Fox coverage. With the Pac-12 channel will I be able to see the Cal games via the sports package or do I order the PAC-12 channel separately, and if I do is the Bay Area coverage included I would hate to pay for this channel and the only thing I see is Trojans and Bruins. I see enough of that crap already. Just thought I'd ask.

You can check the schedule for your area by substituting bayarea in the address below

http://www.pac-12.org/portals/7/images/programming-schedules/bayarea.pdf

So, you'd check http://www.pac-12.org/portals/7/images/programming-schedules/losangeles.pdf

I'm not sure what the difference in scheduling is between the Pac-12 Bay Area channel and Pac-12 Networks.

Check this Schedule http://pac-12.com/ScheduleResults.aspx

Well the big problem for you is that directv hasn't agreed to carry P12 network yet. If it does, it would likely be just the national channel, but who knows. If Directv were to pick up the P12 Network, it would be on a more basic tier (same as ESPN, FX, etc) and wouldn't require a sports pack at all. It definitely won't be a channel you can order alone on from any cable/satellite provider.

Who is your local cable company and would you consider moving your business over to them if Directv doesn't choose to pick up the network?

It's still relatively early on, but I don't see that the SoCal channel will be all that SoCal centric... a little yes, but the football content will be national for the most part. And if you don't mind watching on a computer or can connect a computer to your TV, the streaming will be available for all content from all regions.

Of course you have to be a subscriber to a p12 network distributor... But the streaming of all events has been widely mentioned.

Time Warner Cable has Pac12 National & Pac12-LA. No listing for the 5 other regional channels. Looks like we are out of luck. Hope directv picks up the entire Pac12 system.

Wilner does not agree with you, assuming you are talking about cable and not DTV:

Quote:

And if the Pac12Nets are not offered on your local cable system, you cannot access them online even if you have a subscription to Comcast or Cox.
