I was hoping they would go on that long vacant lot also, but this is good.

Maybe they could go on that vacant trash-laden lot between Haste and Dwight called ironically a "park"... a "People's Park".

Might have to head over there tomorrow night. I've been to the Wednesday night one in North Berkeley--good fun and lots of fun.

Maybe they could set on up on game day. Perhaps for our Friday evening game this year -- that would be nice.

For anyone who's never been, Off the Grid events are great. They have really good food trucks, not the mediocre ones we get in the South Bay.

I'd avoid this one, though - lines are usually long at their events and this one will have that problem worst of all with so many students close by. But I think the Wednesday one on Cedar and Shattuck is still going.

I was just at the North Berkeley one yesterday. Great atmosphere, although I think the prices at these trucks are a bit high, especially for street food.

I'm glad they are having this on Southside now, especially at that intersection which is dead. Of course the big drawback is dining outside near People's Park. ick.

It's too bad that it's probably logistically impossible for Off the Grid to have a bunch of food trucks setting up in the congested area near CMS on game day, because that would be great. The trucks would do awesome business and Cal fans' food options would improve dramatically.

Moveable Feast, the South Bay's version of OTG, is doing food truck events at furd games this season. Given that there's more space down on the farm, as well as the lack of interest in furd football, they won't face the same logistical problems with crowds as OTG would in Berkeley.
