Also, there's this Madden ad that shows Chris Conte failing to tackle Barry Sanders.

Don't understand the logic in AR, franchise player for GB, running so much during an exhibition game. If he goes down, GB's season is essentially over. With Bishop already out for the season, we would have no reason to even watch GB.

I would imagine McCarthy on the sideline was not thrilled either. On the other hand, this is really the final tune-up for the regular season, the starters are likely to not play at all in the final game. And when you're playing for real, you take what the defense gives you.

Frankly, the chances AR gets hurt scrambling are probably roughly equivalent to him getting hurt in the pocket, maybe even lower since he generally has a better idea where defenders are when scrambling and can easily slide if he feels exposed.

He knows where all the defenders are when he is scrambling. It's sort of amazing to watch. I don't feel nervous about him running out there for the TD--he wasn't even touched. More nervous about him in the pocket and getting blindsided or having to step up and getting whacked.

If they don't want him to run, then the WRs should get open.

And the guy he beat on the first TD was Nate Clements, the CB whom the 49ers paid a fortune for a few years ago. Granted, he's old now. But still...
