How long do you want to ignore this user?
About a week away from Game 1, and I am growing nervous that I will not be able to watch the game. My older and wiser father (Larno) is not overly troubled ("We'll see"), and while I'm sure he is right, I am concerned.

Does anyone have any info (Boston Market even) about possible progrss with UVerse getting the Pac-12 Network?

I spoke to Uverse earlier this week and it was a complete waste of time other then getting my bill reduced. I'm sure the first we will hear about this would be from the Pac-12 side.

If any one has slingbox and the Pac-12 network please PM me :p.

sounds like the same case with FiOS. the fiber companies aren't getting pressured like the satellite ones are.

How did you get your bill reduced? Did you threaten to leave?

From reading the tea leaves, DirecTV is likely in the short term, and anything else is likely to come, if at all, well down the road.

You never know, but I would not hold out much hope for UVerse getting the Pac12 network this season.

elpbear, i hope you are wrong. I may have to switch to Comcast if Uverse doesn't get it.

Why anyone even has Uverse is beyond me. The internet speed sucks and the system constantly goes offline. If you refuse to switch to satellite(Directv) at least switch to Comcast and get much a much better product for less money.

Unfortunately some of us are stuck with UVERSE. The Condo complex I live in was only pre-wired for UVERSE. Directv is not allowed unless you have a balcony facing the correct direction, which I don't have. They don't allow the satellite dish anywhere else other than your balcony.

I have spoken with UVERSE at least 5 times and each time they say that they are not going to have the pac12 network and that they have not heard of anyone threatening to cancel if they do not get the pac12 network. I think us UVERSE people are pretty much S.O.L...

Probably because my internet speed is more than fast enough, and outside burst rates from comcast, comparable actual download speeds (I get 12mbps down). My television and internet service actually work reliably...unlike with comcast where I'd get a 50/50 chance of it being functional when I got home from work.

I'm also paying over 50 bucks a month LESS for comperable service from Uverse than I would from Comcast, and about 30 bucks a month than I would from Directv.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Uverse...which is something I cannot say about comcast.

I just got off the phone w/ Direct TV and asked about their TV/internet bundle options (in hopes of a deal w/ the Pac12 Network coming to fruition).

Anyway, I learned that here in the EB, they provide internet via ATT Uverse...

Which makes me nervous, given all the negative I've read about UVerse here as well as a friend who hates her UVerse.

Anyone care to chime in from the East Bay who has Direct TV TV and internet?

Thanks in advance...

Why does anyone stick with UVerse? Because Comcast is not available in my town. Charter has the exclusive cable contract, and Comcast is locked out. I have not seen any indication that Charter is going to carry the network. We switched from Charter to UVerse and so far we like UVerse and have had no problems. At the time Charter did not carry Comcast SportsNet California, and I still don't know if it does or not. We weren't pleased with their service, either. I am still holding out hope (for UVerse) but if nothing happens then I would consider Direct TV, if they eventually offer the Pac12 network, but I really don't want to switch. Everyone here who complains about Comcast at least has the option of going with them if they really have to. I do not have that option.

I have had U-verse tv and internet for well over 4 years and haven't had any problems with it, my speed is very stable right right up near the top up and down to what it should be and my tv has never had an outage, plus i have excellent HD...

I know of a family that has Direct tv and U-verse internet and haven't had any problem with either one, in fact that is where i will watch CAL away games if Direct carries the PAC 12, and U-verse doesn't, have seasons tickets for home games.

I am in the far east end of Contra Costa County, so it could make a difference depending on where in the East Bay you live.

I have had it for years and like it a lot - but not enough to miss the Bears on TV. I am afraid I will have to return to Comcast, which I thought jerked me around when I had it before. I am going to the first two games so I don't really care about not having them on TV. I can wait and see, but at what point does one conclude that it will never happen and switch?
