I live in Portland and have Comcast.

The OR regional Pac12 channel is on 420 (reg) and 720 (hd).

I called and asked about getting the Bay Area regional network. I was told you cannot get regions, you have to buy a sports package which gives you something called National P12 coverage. It is on a single channel (421/721). I'm confused. I was expecting the network would need 6 channels to provide content for the 6 regions and that 1 of those channels would be my go to place for all things Cal. Did I get bad info? Am I going to get tooled out of Cal coverage? What if two games are played at the same time, which game gets played on the National P12 channel?

It will be curious to see what DT does since they did allow everyone access to all the fox sport channels. why not all the pac12 channels?

I think it still remains to be seen what will happen, but based on my understanding you should still get all Cal football and men's basketball games on the national feed -- the plan is to stagger those games so they can be shown on all P12 Network outlets at once. The "local" coverage you might miss out on is other sports and/or Cal-specific shows; I'm not sure how important that's going to be to you.

There is a unsettled / alleged streaming option that may end up as the solution (alias bandaid) for out of region cable subscribing Bear's frustration.

Starts with side windows sporting the classic 2 X 2.5" (out of print?) BearBacker membership decals, then on the dash 2 or 3 mini-poms (mixed blue & gold), held down by a 20" long 2" square "Cal Go Bears!" Bank of the West foamer, plus front and center a lil plushie bear strapped to never leave home without him Oski bobblehead..



In back, lets see, there's just the "Cupertino Bearmobile" license plate frame, and side 6" bear claw decal. Oh yeah, and the Cybers iconic DrHorrible face plant rendered 12" square..
