So, my seats are in FF and they have bench backs...what does that mean? I saw a pic and it looked like a little piece of wood behind your back...anyone seen them?

If I bring a stadium chair is that redundant and maybe it wouldn't fit on them? I am sure all you geniuses have figured this one out, or at least the old farts with bad backs like moi!

West-Side Benchback Seats (Sections EE, F, FF, H, HH, I) - Starting at $500

It's simply what it says...a bench with a back. Both are aluminum by the way.
I would think a stadium chair would get in the way. Maybe something just to pad the bench or the back might work better?

One construction photo I found (sure there are others) shows them from a distance. A little more row to row spacing than the benches, and a shared "back" that goes across the entire row. Can see the standard benches in the section to the right. Aluminum benches, so may be more effective at sucking the heat out of your body on evening games than the wood benches.

Somewhat like what Stanford did, although these will be 10X better and way cooler than anything at their place.

As a fellow "old guy", I'm looking forward to them for the first time this Saturday.

Having sat on one of the benches already, I can confirm that they are aluminum. A seat back is not necessary for support, but it might be nice if you want a cushion... I hope that helps. GO BEARS!

yup, there was a post a while back. Can't remember who did it, otherwise I could find it quickly (but am at work now, giddy as a schoolgirl about the opener).

The benchback is the same material as your seat - aluminum, two approx 6" wide, running along the entire bench. Maybe 6 or 7 inches apart, top to bottom.

I don't think you'd need the stadium seat - Ms. OldenBear (we used to be in FF before the big change) isn't bringing hers for our new ones in HH)
