Time for Recess!!
The Bears continue to stack offensive talent with the commitment of Ohio wide receiver Chase Hendricks. Hendricks becomes the 10th member of the Bears 2026 portal class.
The 6-0/200 junior pulled in 71 catches for 1,037 yards (14.6 ypc) and 7 TDs for the Bobcats this season, including standout games against Ohio State and West Virginia, helping Ohio to a 9-4 season and bowl game appearance.
Rated the #10 WR portal prospect and #44 overall by On3, Hendricks pairs with fellow top portal WR Ian Strong (Rutgers), who’s rated the #8 portal WR and #48 overall, giving talented QB Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele two lethal weapons to throw to along with highly rated tight end Dorian Thomas, the #4 rated tight end and #86 overall.
As a prep, Hendricks totaled 39 catches for 936 yards, 22 TDs and 1,300 all-purpose yards. He helped lead his 2021 and 2022 teams to state titles and was named 1st team all-state at St. Mary’s High School in St. Louis.
Hendricks will also join running backs Adam Mohammed, Carter Vargas and Ashton Emory, offensive tackles Jacob Arop and Mykeal Rabess, Texas A&M edge Solomon Williams and Oregon safety Kingston Lopa in the Bears’ 2026 portal recruiting class.

That's nothing! Quaron Adams had 18 catches for 543 for 30.2 ypc before he transferred to Cal.
Maybe they should've thrown him the ball more than a few times in the first 10 games?
