Haha, I definitely recommend it. I was rooting for the Crimson though, went with Harvard kids. It was in New Haven and of course Harvard one. There may have been a shooting as well, it's unclear.

Thanks. I doubt that 18 year olds who are just playing a sport, can truly understand all the ways they touch people and what they represent in the macro sense. If ever I could give a halftime speech, this is the game I would want to do it. I really hope they play like they mean it.

Yes, though sadly our uniforms are not as cool and we might break out those ugly white ones.

Thanks. A final note. I used to judge fall weekends by if Cal and Ohio State both won--didn't happen all that often. Over the years though, I started feeling like Ohio Sate was more and more what I didn't like about the way college sports were evolving. Then this past 5 years I just started seeing them as tarnished and dirty. So what at one time would have been a heart divided event, is now good vs evil. Go Bears!

A) For matchups of two great (you know who is better) public research universities I would like to see Cal-Michigan as a standing home and home staple. For some reason I have always liked their fight song ;-)

B) For pure football I would love to see Cal somehow break into the Furd/USC world and be able to schedule the domers. You get such national exposure by playing them - and frankly they are not that good.

But this is the big time, bear insiders. Yes, it is a scary game considering where our program is but if you aspire for Cal to be an elite program (i.e. be capable of beating USC or Oregon on any given year and getting to the Rose Bowl) you cowboy up and take this one on.
