I can't think of a time under Tedford when a QB left the the field and the 2nd string did anything but handoff. I knew it was coming and I'm sure Urban Meyer did as well. Why not throw deep? Even if you're picked off, it's not much worse than the upcoming punt. Bridgford has a slow release and his ball float but he is accurate, and if we could get someone in space there is good chance for a completion.

There was a five yard penalty call earlier after the Ohio St punt but not sure on who or what .... otherwise the yellow laundry is tucked tight today

Not only is the rugby punt dumb, I am pressed to recall a time in the past three years where it has been remotely successful.

Not to mention, we are forcing VERY good punters to do this. Beyond dumb IMO.

Quit with the straw man argument. It's a consensus that we want Maynard in there because JT has invested so. Uh in him only and no one trusts AB. The point is what JT didn't do in spring or fall. We're stuck and were rooting for Zach now. We're all behind Maynard today and he's playing great.

<sigh>. Because that mostly works in Madden 2012. Otherwise he isn't warmed up.

Because a deep throw requires a 7 step drop and their DL has proven its ability to get to our QB (see preceding play).

That said, a play action pass and short pass would have been nice.

That's what I would think except I've seen it work against us many times: QB 1 helped off the field, QB 2 comes in and throws for a long gain.

We were worried about Braxton Miller running; but OSU noticed that hey, the Bears have no pass defense. He'll just throw it up all day and it's going to be really, really ugly.

We can officially change the direction of our collective anger away from Tedford and Maynard and onto Pendergrast.

Their QB is playing a hell of a game today but there's a bigger picture at play wherein we've seen this before. Pendergrast.
