I don't know... After Cal lost out on the Polish 7 footer with 12 vowels in his name to Gonzaga, there were more than a few folks on the BB board suggesting that Montgomery was ready to be put out to pasture.

Not disagreeing about how well MM handled the adversity and managed his staff. Just saying that internet fan boards tend to be fairly, well extreme and knee-jerk... Both positive and negative.

Firing Tedford before November 2 will save him the indignity of losing to Washington at home on a national ESPN2 broadcast after they stole away his star recruiter and destroyed his recruiting class.

I don't see how we can issue any absolutes in this one. If the team is not playing hard anymore, all bets are off. But Cal can't be guaranteed a losing season until after the BG. That seems to be when things would start publicly happening. But important discussions are being held now obviously.

And the team is still playing hard, so there is at least hope each week for a W. Have to give them credit for that even though I think the coaching has put them in some poor positions to say the least.

Who decides who's a moron?
The evidence suggests that when it comes to football, Cal fans are morons comparing to Texas. Just look at the difference in win-loss record.
