Going into the season ..... All four of these games should have been marked in the "WIN" column - just like home victories against ASU and Reno should have been. This team should have been 8-2 heading into the final two games of the season.

So, yes, the next 4 games are winnable. Winning only three of them is understandable - but winning only two or less is unacceptable.

The keys for success seem to be:

+ Play with emotion
+ Minimize 7-step drops for the QB
+ Engage Bigelow
+ Utilize the TE
+ Don't be afraid to play younger talent on defense
+ Keep focus after miscues (they are going to happen)

Well things certainly look better than 24 hours ago. Winning will do that.

About 4 in a row. I think it's possible but I think we might lose one game but could pick off one of the Oregon schools...maybe.

UO is #2 (ranked and as bowel movements) but Pendergast has done okay scheming against them. Not saying Cal will beat UO but there have been experiences this season as prep (tOSU at the shoe and $C away) not so much against the Pistol/gun but against top teams. (Although stomping UCLA's pistol was a big plus.)

Also, we will be playing Oregon at CMS and it should be totally electric in Cal's favor. The rise of CJA, could be a big boost, you know a big back that can help suck the clock down. Also I think the stadium renovation blows UO's mind and it funkifies them.

OSU away however could be brutal. Corvallis in November (esp at night) isn't much fun.

Speaking of Corvallis, the last time I was there, they were just starting to put in the other side of the stadium. For years it was half a stadium, with some seats on the other side. Ever since they finished, they've been a good squad. Coaching probably has more to do with that, but you can't underestimate the crowd factor. And a new stadium, like ours, makes for an even greater challenge. I don't think we can beat oregon unless they make mistakes like UCLA, but I think we can win any of the other games, although we'll probably take 2 or three max.

The thing with Oregon is that their QB gets a fair amount of beating, and we get to play them late in the season. As well Pendergast has done well vs them, so we have a decent shot at them.
