It's funny because lately I've been randomly coming across more and more Cal fans. The guy at work, the dad at day care. They're all pretty disappointed with the season.

I used to like coming here a lot. Lately I feel like there is a lot of irrational posts. Yes, some are rational but lots of irrational posts.

I see what happens to Bobbygbear and I myself get attacked for saying something that I think is reasonable. Who wants to come to a board for this?

In general, I think taking the negative position (on Cal football, in life) is the easy way out. When life doesn't go your way you can just say 'I knew it'! Statistically it's also easy to bet that the current head coach sucks regardless of who it is because the winners are few and everyone else is either middle of the road or a loser.

Calling a coach a winner after he's gone to the natty/rose bowl/turned around an NFL team is also easy because 20/20 is hindsight.

In my mind someone who was calling for JT to be fired years ago wasn't showing foresight but instead just showing pessimism. Based on his history it's silly to say that this could've been predicted.

I think most people who've followed the decline and saw the seat getting warmer and warmer are in the right.

This whole arc has been turned upside down. Just a few short years ago, going against jt made you a villain. People would literally call you out, say rude and inappropriate things, you were just some poster who didn't know enough about football and weren't enough of an insider to see how good we actually were, and the majority followed in mob mentality. No one is denying that it happened (negative posters being called fake fans), only that the nasty comments were disproportionately on one side of the argument (I don't think they were, at least not over a long enough period of time).
