The more athletic you are the more susceptible you are to this type of injury. That's was a Barry-Sanders-like cutback by Isi.

They announced Barner is back on the sideline with a taped right wrist.

Not sure that playing him will be a good idea. If his wrist is hurting, he's going to lose some crip strength and I'm sure the Bear D will work at trying to rip the ball away if he's carrying it.

Where did this Cal run defense come from? They are staying in their lanes and actually doing a good job of forcing Oregon to turn back inside into the pursuit.l

I am rooting so hard for you guys tonight. Oregon's defense is missing a lot of starters on defense. And your defense has the speed to contain them. This game is ripe for an upset with solid playcalling, mistake-free football.

Honestly?

Our defense is very good. It's hard for a defense to keep up momentum when the offense has sucked as hard as ours has. Our secondary isn't all that great but serviceable.

In short, if our offense takes time off the clock and puts points on the board, the defense will show up.

True, but in previous games against spread option teams the Cal defense tended to overpursue and lose contain. This is one of the better games I've seen the run defense play this season.

Bridgford hasn't been all that accurate. :/ I know a lot of posters here complained about Maynard's accuracy, but right now I have to say I'm not sure Bridgford is more accurate.

And we need to sustain a drive or two.
