Scott just publically said that PAC 12 will keep its eye on Boise St if the conference expands to 14 teams. If there's hope that BSU goes to the PAC then you can forget about CP ever leaving.

Is Larry an idiot? Boise State cannot join the conference because it's not a doctorate level research university. As a master's level institution, they will never be admitted to the PAC, regardless of what Larry wants. Besides, as others have stated, Boise State will be the next Utah if they joined a major conference like the PAC.

If I were an AD/chancellor at ANY university, I would automatically veto Boise State joining my conference unless they agreed to tear out the blue turf and replace it with a 'normal' shade of green. I'm surprised the Big East didn't demand that already.

Per Larry Scott -
"If we were to look at expanding again, I'm sure both those schools would be on the list. But, we don't have any plans."
Also, both schools were downgraded a bit because their academics were not on par with many of the other schools in the Pac-12.
I'm not too worried.

I don't care about that so much. The fact that BSU is just slightly more academically prestigious than Yuba College bothers me.

Ummmmmm, I went to Yuba. :rollinglaugh:

Yeah let BSU join the Pac. They'll find out winning is tougher in a conference where there are other teams that can play. Not playing 10 patsies changes things.
p.s. Betcha the Pac12 would make BSU change that blue turf.

This is no way in hell this will happen.
Scott is losing his edge.
1.) He can't get the P12 Network on more TVs. FAIL.
2.) He will NEVER be able to get the academic schools to buy into taking schools that's viewed as glorified community colleges.
