Why would you worry about defenses "figuring out the spread" because more teams use it.

Doesn't that mean defenses have all figured out the pro-style offense since everyone uses it?

When Franklin was at Kentucky, he turned in a fellow assistant coach on the Kentucky staff for paying recruits.

I might be a little nervous if Franklin wasn't coming.

Keeping the coaching team, especially the OC, that produced the nation's best offense together and bringing them all to Cal makes me feel pretty good.

I guess I feel like there are those who are Junior Sports Talk Show Wannabees, (or Sports Investigative Reporter Wannabees)that if there is a a door open even a little, they want to jump on the negative. Like, "its Cal, of course someone or something is F-ed up", even though they themselves are fans.
That isn't to say a Cal fan can't be critical, and its interesting back and forth discourse (which most of would rather be doing over a foamy beverage) on many a thread. Nor am I saying someone is instantly a "Negabear" for being critical...just don't do it over bull crap stuff...

I'm nervous about the Dykes hire. But since that decision has already been made, I think Franklin was a great hire to fit with what Dykes wants to do on offense.

Although one could say that the reason there are so many attorneys here and not doctors is bc doctors have real jobs and attorneys just stare at their computers all day.
