Given the relative history of success of former U$C Trojans (or definite lack thereof .... see Sanchez, Marinovich, Leinart, Booty, etc) .... I would say anyone who can play QB will or can be better

I think he gets drafted in the top half of the first round (I can see the Jets taking a stab at him). But I think he'll end up being an average at best QB.

Why would jets take a stab at him when there are 3 other qb rated ahead of him?

Tebow not returning, Sanchez likely gone too.

I can tell you right now that Taj Boyd is by far and away the best prospect I've seen this year and it's not even close. Murray didn't impress me that much, and I'm pretty skeptical about Barkley. I wouldn't draft him before the 3rd round that's for sure. Geno didn't seem that strong mentally to me, but I'd look at him before Barkley and Murray. Boyd looks like another RG3 to me.

Maynard always celebrated his rare completions* like they were his first.

Barkley can throw bullets? when did that happen? I'm going to peg him as a Carson Palmer with a much weaker arm.

Completed 60.8% of his passes in 2012.
Other Cal QB's:
2012 Bridgford 45.6%
2011 Bridgford 40.6%
2010 Mansion 48.9%
2010 Riley 60.0%
2009 Riley 54.7%
2009 Sweeney 55.6%
2008 Longshore 56.7%
2008 Riley 50.7%
2007 Longshore 59.9%
2006 Longshore 60.2%
2005 Ayoob 49.2%
Amazingly, Zach Maynard in 2012 completed a higher percentage of his passes than any Cal starting QB since Aaron Rodgers in 2004. Better than any year of Longshore or Riley.

Well, Barkley did regress this year in %, yardage, TDs, and INTs thrown, all the while having Lee and Woods to throw to. And he does throw too many INTs, IMO...It's a weak QB draft, so I can see Barkley going in the last half of the 1st round, but all it takes is a team with a crappy QB to step up and reach (Ponder? Locker?)
