Why? Was he engaged in particularly risky forms of behavior (e.g. sharing needles, unprotected sex with other men)? I don't think so.
On a side note, I remember when Ron was on Loveline back in the day (when it was still Adam Carolla). He's a pretty fascinating and intelligent dude. He has a bachelor's degree in education and theatre and a masters in special education.

I guess that depends on whether you would add having unprotected sex with hundreds of women, most or all of whom were also having unprotected sex with dozens of men, to your list of particularly risky forms of behavior.

Actually, the [documented] list of porn stars with AIDS is not as large as you'd think as is filled overwhelmingly with gay porn stars.

Apparently though he's a pretty nice guy and fairly intelligent. And you gotta admit. The dude had ONE thing going for him to be in that industry and made a *ahem* huge career out of it. Not a lot of fat hairy guys making that work physical..uh..charms not withstanding.

Wasn't intending to imply that straight sex is as risky as gay sex...was merely reacting to the definition the previous poster proposed for "risky behavior" that seemed to omit at least one type of behavior I would think is/was risky. Also, I wouldn't assume that all the male actors with whom Jeremy's co-stars were performing limited themselves to straight porn....um, not that I know anything about porn or anything like that.

Apparently the odds of contracting HIV from an HIV positive woman is between 1 in 300 to 1 in 1000, provided you use the front door. The real risk factor comes from getting reamed in the behind (some say chance of infection is as high as 1 in 10).

Which means that if you engage frequently in unprotected straight sex with HIV positive women, your chances of contracting it after a couple of years are pretty high.
