The race looks between Kline and Hinder based on what I've seen so far

Is Goff not throwing?

Is Hinder a junior?

Doesn't look like Goff in these main O vs D rotations... Was in it at the drills... Not sure why

it seems like if Bridge is doing as bad as it seems, Goff will eventually get his shot at practice within a week or so

What have the O-Line rotations looked like? I assume Tags at LT and Rigs at LG. Who is looking best at the other spots? Is Cochran snapping and how does his foot speed look?

So I'm not sure the coaches already narrowing it down but it's definitely down to Bridge, Hinder, and Kline

Why the hate on Bridg? Last year is over. The Teford era is over. Losing is over. It's another year, and a different team. I don't care if it's Bridg or his sister that starts.....just get the best player out there, prepare the others, and let's get going. If Bridg can do it, I hope he's the guy. If he can't, then I hope he's not. But I want each guy to get a shot, an evaluation, and then take over. I'd be really happy if all of them were so good that a decision about who should start was a major challenge for Coach Dykes!

i dont think that there is any hate for bridge. i hope he steps it up but it sounds like from these very early reports that hinder and kline have already passed him up. it wouldnt be bridge's fault, i blame the old regime

Sounds like a lot of fun attending practices. I might make a trip to Berkeley one of these afternoons.

Kinda like the way last season started. I don't think any of us want to see that again. Why waste time giving reps to a guy who has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that he is not a D1 QB. I would prefer to see all the other guys get a few more reps at his expense....

It sounds like the 1 poster providing most of the content has left.

Relax. It's the first day. This coaching staff is new. How would they know if they don't personally evaluate the players. Can you tone down your negativity a few notches if only for a bit?

I don't think most of these bridgford comments are hater comments. they're observations based on what is being reported out of the first practice. Seeing everything on twitter, it seems like Kline and Hinder are pulling ahead

As a senior with experience, Bridgford deserved reps today. No rush to cut it down at this point.

Man, they do a lot in two hours.

Exactly. Kline and Hinder were way ahead of Bridge today, both in just the throwing drills and in the simulated offensive drills.

Hinder demonstrated a quick release, good accuracy and great touch. Kline threw hard (best looking ball) with accuracy and had the best "presence" but is the shortest. Bridgford has the slowest release, is the least accurate and seems lacking arm strength--balls that weren't underthrown were batted down or intercepted. However, he did have a great play moving to his left to avoid pressure where he threw a great ball down the left sideline.

Just got home from practice (after stopping for a Top Dog).
Sonny was wearing shorts. I bet this was the coldest practice he's
been to in a long time. Got cold and dark by the end. Hinder, Kline,Brigford, and Goff got a lot of play, but everybody else got in there some. The pace of practice is a killer. These guys are going to be in great shape. No wonder the practices are scheduled for only three days per week. It will 'be interesting
to compare the look at the end of practice in the Spring Game.

A tid bit. I saw SD in the north endzone with all the QB's. I went down close enough to hear him personally direct drills. First they worked on a strip prevention drill. Sonny said they would be doing that drill every day. Next they
worked on taking a shotgun snap (look the ball into your hands) which led to
a fast footwork drill aimed at avoiding the pass rush. This was all Sonny and the QB's. Then I heard a great line from the coach, "Peyton Manning is an old man compared with you guys, and he moves his feet faster than you all!"

That really stood out. Coaches and groups spread all over the field. Each group seemed well coordinated, all working fast.
